This nifty little device weighs two pounds but lifts a whopping 200 due to precision machining. Even more remarkably, it uses only one 1-1/2 V D cell battery (not included). Our 45mm diameter cold rolled steel core and yoke are ground to within a fraction of 1/1000". The coil has 175 turns of wire, 4 strands parallel. Includes: alligator clip leads, battery holder fastened directly to the magnet, and instructions with experiments. Weight: 0.8 kg. Note: this item is intended for demonstration purposes only
