  This is a great kit -- it is simple and easy to experiment with. Building it in front of my younger kids gave them the sense of excitement I felt when I first saw a motor spring to life. It didn't take long for my older children to ask the "what-if" questions that are important to experiential learning.
  The instructions are ok, but I would have appreciated color pictures. There is a list of suggested experiments at the end that I enjoyed (with a 9volt battery, run the motor to failure... what fails first? can you fix it?) Over all, a lot of science and engineering in a very affordable kit.

  assembly instructions are terrible.
  Seem to be written by areal egg head.
  Led to a lot of frustration for my child.
  She wanted to complete this on her own.
  Once I stepped in to assist, I was able to see why she was having such a problem.
